senjata tradisional jepang begitu banyak kita saksikan di televisi dan mungkin yg kita ketahui hanya samurai dan senjata rahasia mereka, tapi ternyata ada berbagai macam jenis senjata di jepang yang hingga kini masih digunakan dan terkenal lewat film2 dan komik jepang seperti naruto, satria baja hitam dan sebagainya.

katana (刀) adalah pedang panjang jepang (daitō, 大刀), walaupun di jepang sendiri ini merujuk pada semua jenis pedang. Katana adalah kunyomi (sebutan jepang) dari bentuk kanji 刀; sedangkan onyomi (sebutan hanzi) karakter kanji tersebut adalah tō. Ia merujuk kepada pedang satu mata, melengkung yang khusus yang secara tradisi digunakan oleh samurai jepang.
Katana biasanya dipasangkan dengan wakizashi atau shōtō, bentuknya mirip tapi dibuat lebih pendek, keduanya dipakai oleh anggota kelas satria.

wakizashi (bahasa jepang: 脇差) adalah pedang jepang tradisional dengan panjang mata bilah antara 30 dan 60 sentimeter (antara 12 hingga 24
inci), serupa tetapi lebih pendek bila dibandingkan dengan katana yang sering dikenakan bersama-sama. Ilmu beladiri yang menggunakan naginata disebut naginata-jutsu.

kama (鎌 or かま) adalah senjata tradisional yang berasal dari okinawa, kama pada awalnya digunakan untuk pertanian. Senjata kama biasa digunakan sepasang, senjata ini merupakan salah 1 senjata utama ninja, tetapi pada ujungnya dipasang gada/rantai, disebut kusari-gama.

Kunai biasanya berukuran 20-60cm, dan rata-rata 40 cm. Kunai pada dulunya adalah alat untuk berkebun dan alat bagi para pekerja batu. Kunai dipercaya sebenarnya bukan senjata yang didesain untuk dilempar, tetapi dapat dilempar dan menghasilkan daya hancur yang lumayan.

JAKARTA -Keluarga korban korban kecelakaan pesawat Sukhoi Superjet 100 mulai mulai memadati ruang tunggu Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara Tingkat I Raden Said Soekanto, Kramat Jati, Jakarta Timur, Selasa (22/5/2012).

Rencananya, hari ini keluarga atau kerabat mendapatkan kesempatan untuk melihat jenazah korban. Untuk meminimalisir hal-hal yang tidak diinginkan, polisi menyiapkan 11 polisi wanita (polwan) untuk mendampingi keluarga korban.

"Hal ini dilakukan untuk penanganan khusus dari polwan, dari Polda ada 15, cuma yang datang hanya 11. Yang 4 sedang dinas," kata Kepala Negosiator Polda Metro Jaya, Kompol Supriyatno, di di Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara.

Salah satu polwan mengatakan, kedatangannya tak lain untuk menghibur keluarga korban yang belum bisa menerima kepergian orang yang mereka cintai. Para polwan ini membagi tugas mereka dalam upaya mendampingi keluarga korban.

"Kami mungkin bisa menghibur keluarga korban supaya mereka tidak 'down'. Kami nanti menangani keluarga korban dibagi-bagi," terang polwan yang bernama Bripda Roudhotul Jannah dengan ramah.
